Just Stop

You’ve probably seen our homepage warning: “Just stop. Your 14-year-old nephew really shouldn’t be building your site.”

Why is that? What’s wrong with just using little Johnny and his cracked version of Photoshop?

So glad you asked! I’m happy to oblige:

The first reason is that most 14-year-olds, while probably proficient enough to build a fairly good-looking site, are not as experienced as the Abbson team when it comes to user interaction, social media integration, and search engine optimization. All three of those help to promote your website, which in turn will increase the amount of views that your site receives. And as you know, more views = more visibility for your brand.

In addition, our industry professionals are dependable. Our focus is on our clients. Your nephew most likely cares more about how cute that little Susie in his homeroom is. Our team is focused on the quality of your site because it reflects on us. We have a stake in how well your site turns out, and we try our hardest to make your site unique and use-friendly. The old adage “you get what you pay for” certainly applies here.

The fourth and final reason, is that, quite simply, we’re very skilled at what we do. That is why we are called “professionals.” We have a variety of design sets and programming language available to us, and we know how to implement them fluently. Your nephew’s pirated version of Dreamweaver may be able to create a page that looks good on occasion, but your site will have extremely limited functionality. Your site will be static, and unable to enjoy many of the features that modern browsers employ to display your site. Abbson is able to create custom programs for your site that can show off your Twitter feed, help you sell items, or allow people to log into a special portion of your site.
